When will LedgerLocal be available?
We're putting the finishing touches on the Windows release. Sign up for launch updates below and we'll email you when downloads are ready.
Is LedgerLocal really offline?
Yes. The app runs entirely on your Windows PC. Your company file is stored locally. Internet is only needed to check for optional software updates or activate a license key.
Can I migrate from QuickBooks?
LedgerLocal supports CSV, OFX, and QIF bank imports so you can bring in transaction history. A direct QuickBooks migration tool is on the roadmap — for now, most users start fresh with a new chart of accounts and import recent bank activity.
Will there be a free trial?
Yes. We plan to offer a 30-day full-feature trial at launch. No credit card required. Your data stays on your machine throughout.
Can my accountant access my books?
Yes. Pro and Enterprise tiers include an encrypted accountant export (.llx) your CPA can open in read-only mode — without you granting cloud access to your live data.
Does it handle payroll taxes and filing?
LedgerLocal includes a payroll calculator for withholdings and journal entries. It does not file taxes or process direct deposit — it's designed for businesses that handle compliance separately or with an accountant.
What platforms are supported?
LedgerLocal is Windows-first for v1. Cross-platform support is planned for a future release.
